In an era where digitalization has reached its limit, the act of intentionally making something by hand is often regarded as a luxurious hobby. However, handiwork such as woodworking, sewing, or cooking holds a unique value that cannot be measured by efficiency alone. The process of touching materials and using one's five senses to shape them has a meditative aspect of clearing away distractions and immersing oneself in the present moment. More than the quality of the finished product, the density of the time spent engaged in the work brings mental stability to our lives. Precisely because we live surrounded by convenient tools, the primal joy of accomplishing something with one's own hands shines all the more brightly.
