海(うみ)と夏休み(なつやすみ)

子供の時、夏休みになると家族で海(うみ)へ行きました。海はとても広くて(ひろくて)、青い(あおい)色が大好き(だいすき)でした。泳ぐ(およぐ)ことも好きでしたが、砂浜(すなはま)で貝殻(かいがら)を探す(さがす)のが一番(いちばん)楽しかった(たのしかった)です。

大人になった今でも、海(うみ)を見ると子供(こども)の時(とき)のことを思い出します(おもいだします)。波(なみ)の音(おと)を聞いている(きいている)と、とても落ち着きます(おちつきます)。海は私にとって、とても大切(たいせつ)な場所(ばしょ)です。

Translation

When I was a child, I went to the sea with my family during summer vacation. The sea was very wide, and I loved its blue color. I liked swimming, but looking for seashells on the beach was the most fun. Even now that I am an adult, when I see the sea, I remember things from my childhood. When I listen to the sound of the waves, I feel very calm. The sea is a very important place to me.
