京都(きょうと)の寺(てら)巡(めぐ)り

Visiting Temples in Kyoto

京都(きょうと)にはたくさんのお寺(てら)があります。私は昨日(きのう)、有名な金閣寺(きんかくじ)を見(み)に行きました。金閣寺は金色(きんいろ)で、とても美(うつく)しかったです。たくさんの観光客(かんこうきゃく)が写真(しゃしん)を撮(と)っていました。

その後、近くの公園で歩きました。京都(きょうと)の町は古い建物が多(おお)くて、歩くだけで楽しいです。明日は美(うつく)味しい抹茶を飲(の)みに行(い)くつもりです。

Translation

There are many temples in Kyoto. Yesterday, I went to see the famous Kinkaku-ji. Kinkaku-ji was golden and very beautiful. Many tourists were taking pictures. After that, I walked in a nearby park. There are many old buildings in the town of Kyoto, so it is fun just to walk around. I plan to go drink delicious matcha tomorrow.
