丁 (precise) + 度 (degree) = precisely to the right degree.

• 今ちょうど三時です。

  いまちょうどさんじです。

  It is exactly three o'clock now.

• この靴はちょうどいい大きさです。

  このくつはちょうどいいおおきさです。

  These shoes are just the right size.

Usage

Often with いい (ちょうどいい) = "just right"; also "exactly/as it happens".
