How to remember it

An irregular verb; the kanji 来 shows people arriving toward you.

Example sentences

• 友達が家に来ます。

  ともだちがいえにきます。

  A friend is coming to my house.

• 明日、日本から来ます。

  あした、にほんからきます。

  I am coming from Japan tomorrow.

Usage

Highly irregular: 来ない, 来て, 来た; forms 来週, 来年.
