来 (come) + 年 (year) — the year that is coming toward you is next year.

Example sentences

• 来年、日本へ留学します。

  らいねん、にほんへりゅうがくします。

  Next year, I will study abroad in Japan.

• 来年の春に卒業します。

  らいねんのはるにそつぎょうします。

  I will graduate next spring.

Usage

Time word; no particle needed when placed before the verb.
